How to use
- Sign on plain white paper with a black or blue pen. Sign a little bigger than usual.
- Take a photo straight from above in good light. Shadows are okay, because the cleaner handles them.
- Choose the photo. NeoKit finds the ink, removes dust specks, and crops tightly with a small margin.
- Adjust ink darkness or sensitivity if needed, then download as JPG (optionally at a target KB) or lossless PNG.
Why portals reject signature images
- Grey or yellowish paper background that looks dirty after compression.
- Large empty margins that make the signature tiny ("miniature signature").
- Signature written in CAPITAL LETTERS (not accepted by IBPS and many others).
- Faint blue ink that disappears when the file is compressed to 10–20 KB.
Cleaning first and then resizing fixes all four.
Frequently asked questions
How does it remove the background?
It converts the photo to greyscale and finds the best ink/paper split using Otsu’s method. For photos with shadows it switches to an adaptive threshold that compares each pixel with its neighbourhood. Tiny specks are removed by connected-component filtering.
Is this a digital signature?
No. It is a cleaned image of your handwritten signature, which is what application forms ask you to upload. It has no legal validity as a digital signature certificate (DSC).
Thin strokes are missing. What should I do?
Move the Sensitivity slider to the right, or switch Lighting to “Shadows”. Using a thicker pen also helps a lot.
Can I make the signature 10–20 KB?
